For obvious reasons more and more ISP are using Medium Trust policy files in which case you will not be able to run the Microsoft Report Viewer (LocalReport mode) on your site as it needs to write data to a 'temp' folder indicated in one of the other threads.
What I want to know is, why aren't there any 'alternative' Medium trust configuration files that specifically address this issue and make the appropriate exceptions for the reportviewer assemblies? Surely this could be done by only elevating trust levels for
the reporting components?
Anybody attempted this? Would love to get some feedback on this issue.
